Let me tell you a story…

I discovered the power of storytelling when I was teaching high school. Stories are a great way to annotate lessons. My students and I connected because of the stories we shared. I am a big fan of the personal narrative; every time I hear and tell a story, I get a larger understanding of what it is to be human.

Storytelling allows me to put all my creative outlets together in one place. A multi MothStorySLAM winner, I have won MothSlams in Chicago, New York City and Milwaukee. I have been fortunate to tell stories in many venues around Chicago, including First Person Live, Back Yard Story, Homewood Stories, BackRoom Stories, Is This a Thing and This Much is True.
